Trauma Informed Yoga

TCTSY is a yoga-based, empirically validated intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
This practice is designed to help you rebuild a felt sense of your body and develop a connection between body and mind.
The focus of this practice is on your internal experience: it is designed so that the balance of power resides within you. I will facilitate the practice making sure it completely revolves around your choice.
This means that although I will facilitate some physical forms and movements based on the hatha style of yoga, you are free to engage as much or as little as you wish: you may do some of the forms I facilitate, all of them or none at all. You can if you wish suggest which forms you prefer or which you would rather not do.
This is a practice you co-create with me. It helps you cultivate a sense of agency that is often compromised as a result of trauma.
